The ATI TEAS 7 (Test of Essential Academic Skills, Version 7) is a national standardized entrance exam designed to measure whether applicants have the foundational academic skills required to succeed in nursing and allied-health programs. It is developed and administered by Assessment Technologies Institute (ATI).
Unlike content-heavy professional exams, the TEAS focuses on core academic readiness, not clinical knowledge. Schools use it to predict student success, especially in the first year of nursing school where reading comprehension, math accuracy, scientific reasoning, and language skills are critical.
